Get in
The most used way to get to Provo is to fly into Salt Lake City, and
drive or catch a shuttle from the Airport. The drive follows I-15 and
usually takes about 45 minutes with no traffic, but can take up to an hour
and a half during heavy traffic.
You can also take the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus system. A bus
passes through the airport parking garage and takes about three hours to get
to Provo from Salt Lake City.
Get around
UTA operates its bus system throughout much of Provo and Orem, but
service in the rest of Utah County is sparse when compared to Salt Lake
County. Besides buses, automobiles, walking, and cycling are the only ways
to get around.
Activities
• Seven Peaks water park
• Tour BYU 9AM-4PM, stop by the visitor's center on BYU campus.
• Hike up to the 'Y' on BYU mountain. It's a moderate hike that takes most
people about 45 minutes each way. The view is pretty nice.
• Go skiing in the winter or
mountain biking in the summer at Sundance or alternatively just look at
the various art on display.
